Introduction

Oh, Wizards. Why did you do this to me like this? In 2017, one of my favorite decks to play was Gonna Need A Bigger Playmat | *Primer*. At that time, Naya Elfball deck with a superfriends subtheme that's sole purpose was to make tokens and burn the table. It was fun, but I felt like it lacked the support. The token generating planeswalkers were ok, elves are mainly an Abzan tribe, and Marath, Will of the Wild was just better as an infinite mana outlet. Thus, I converted it to the Naya-Modular deck that it is today. Now, Streets of New Capena drops and provides everything this deck wanted several years ago and one of my favorite decks is reborn.

Overview

Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second is a strong support card. Jinnie Fay says that if you would create one or more tokens, you may instead create that many 2/2 green Cat creature tokens with haste or that many 3/1 green Dog creature tokens with vigilance. Jinne is essentially a Divine Visitation for all types of tokens. Dare I say that Jinnie is better than a Divine Visitation effect. Because of this, treasures, clues, food, or whatever non-creature tokens can be converted into dogs or cats with Jinnie on the battlefield. Just upgrading 1/1 tokens was good enough for me. Jinnie turns any token into a viable attacker or blocker. Jinnie Fay is particularly strong with any creature with the alliance keyword due to her ability to make any token into a creature. Jinnie Fay has another appealing feature; her mana cost. With the cost of , Jinnie is easy to cast and easy on the mana. If you look, there are plenty of cards that produce plenty of just . This makes Jinnie a recurring threat.

Magda, Brazen Outlaw: If anything, Magda is the other card I want to see every game. Madga allows dwarves to create a treasure token when tapped. Thats good, especially if this ability is catered to. However, Magda is here for the tutor ability. By sacrificing five treasure tokens, Magda tutors a dragon or an artifact to the battlefield. Besides Sol Ring, each of the artifacts and/or dragons are combo pieces or treasure synergy cards. This is instant speed Terror of the Peaks, Ganax, Astral Hunter, Dragon Broodmother, and Old Gnawbone, just to point out a few. Besides the dragons, Maskwood Nexus puts Madga into overdrive.. With Magda in the deck, I always want to have at least five treasures on the field.

  • Dog (3/1 with vigilance): Overall, I think this is the creature token that this deck will be using the most. Normally, I think a 3/1 body isnt that great. However, this token has two things going for it. First, its a token. The downside of a 3/1 body, which is the one toughness, doesnt matter as much when you have a swarm of tokens. Second, vigilance is a strong keyword. In combination, this creates a strong, expendable attacker and blocker.
  • Treasure: This is one of the most valuable tokens in this deck. As you all know, treasure tokens are just Lotus Petal that cant be recurred. Though it can only be used once, treasures can be used immediately or reserved for a later point in time. In addition, this deck has plenty of synergizes that utilize tokens, from Madga, Brazen Outlaw for tutoring to Professional Face-Breaker for additional draw.
  • Cat (2/2 with haste): Cat tokens are great for being aggressive. Particularly, the cat tokens are great with Cryptolith Rite effects for instant speed mana and combo kills.
  • Dragon(1/1 with flying and devour 2): With flying and devour 2, these dragons tokens can get pretty big fast. I have no problem sacrificing mana dorks or extra cats or dogs to make a huge dragon token.
  • Rhino Warrior (4/4): Its a 4/4. Keep it.
  • Elf Druid: Similar to treasure tokens, the use of this token is situational. You would want this token if you need more mana or if Elvish Warmaster needs to be triggered.to get another dog or cat.
  • Everything else can be transformed into a cat or dog, honestly.
  • Here is the deck list for Cabaretti Cacophony:

    Commander

    Kitt Kanto, Mayhem Diva

    Deck

Creatures: Leafkin Druid, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Wood Elves, Rumor Gatherer, Orzhov Advokist, Champion of Lambholt, Magus of the Wheel, Agitator Ant, Scute Swarm, Zurzoth, Chaos Rider, Selvala, Explorer Returned, Bess, Soul Nourisher, Life of the Party, Sizzling Soloist, Rose Room Treasurer, Master of Ceremonies, Arasta of the Endless Web, Boss's Chauffeur, Gahiji, Honored One, Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs, Thunderfoot Baloth, Phabine, Boss's Confidant

Instants and Sorceries: Path to Exile, Artifact Mutation, Aura Mutation, Boros Charm, Grand Crescendo, Beast Within, March of the Multitudes, Call the Coppercoats, Cabaretti Charm, Crash the Party, Sylvan Offering, Martial Coup, Cultivate, Seize the Spotlight, Harmonize, Shamanic Revelation, Fell the Mighty, Camaraderie, Vivien's Stampede, Cabaretti Confluence

Artifacts: Sol Ring, Fellwar Stone, Idol of Oblivion, Arcane Signet, Bloodthirsty Blade, Commander's Sphere, Scepter of Celebration, and False Floor

Enchantments: Intangible Virtue, Beastmaster Ascension, Awakening Zone, Duelist's Heritage, Killer Service, Prosperous Partnership, Outpost Siege, Felidar Retreat, Assemble the Legion, and Sandwurm Convergence

Honestly, my first change would be to buy Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second and change the commander. Im not a fan of either Kitt Kanto, Mayhem Diva or Phabine, Boss's Confidant. Neither of these cards do enough for me. Phabine has a cute parley effect, but it is too random for my taste. Kitt creates a citizen token, which is good, but has a goad effect that Im not a fan of. If I had to pick one, I would stick with Kitt.

    Pre-con Cards that arent good:

Pre-con Cards that just doesnt fit: < /p>

Early Game (Turn 1 to 3):

Mid Game (Turn 4 to 7):

Late Game (Turn 7 to beyond):

These combos work when Jinne is on the field.

  • Combo #1:Maskwood Nexus + Magda, Brazen Outlaw +Jaheira, Friend of the Forest = Infinite mana and infinite tapped cats. Tap any creature to start the chain. Because the tapped creature is a dwarf due to Maskwood Nexus and Magda, Brazen Outlaw, the creature creates a treasure token. Jinne replaces the treasure token with a 2/2 cat with haste. Tap the cat for mana with Jaheira, Friend of the Forest. This cat then produces another treasure and the cycle continues.
  • Combo #2:Ganax, Astral Hunter + Maskwood Nexus: Ideally, you want Maskwood Nexus on the battlefield first. With Jinnie and Maskwood on the field, play Ganax. Ganax enters the battlefield and will create a treasure token. Jinne replaces the treasure token with a 2/2 cat with haste. Because of Maskwood, the cat token is also a dragon and will trigger Ganax again. The cat token will produce a treasure that will be shifted to another cat/dragon token infinitely. If Maskwood isnt on the battlefield before Ganax, there is just an extra step. Just have any creature enter the battlefield, including tapping Maskwood Nexus for .
  • This deck has the exact same weakness as all token decks; token decks are prone to overextend. Thats why anyone plays a token deck. Token decks flood the board. Because of that, token decks encourage playing card after card. Thus, token decks have a hard time rebuilding after a Supreme Verdict. Within this deck, I try to combat that by playing planeswalkers, but even then it is a setback.

  • Boseiju, Who Endures: This is, most of the time, an uncounterable artifact/enchantment/non-basic land removal for . At its worst, Boseiju is an expensive Forest. Dumb.
  • Den of the Bugbear, Field of the Dead, and The Shire: These lands are here to make tokens. I lean on these if the board gets wiped or for instant speed token production.
  • Gavony Township: This pumps the entire team by +1/+1 for .
  • Oran-Rief, the Vastwood: This will put a +1/+1 counter on each green creature that entered the battlefield this turn. Most of the creatures in this deck is so this will proc often.
  • Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth: This makes lands into Forests in addition to their other land types. This fixes mana for the rest of the game.
  • Elf Ramp: Arbor Elf, Bloom Tender, Circle of Dreams Druid, Elvish Archdruid, Elvish Mystic, Jaheira, Friend of the Forest, Llanowar Elves, Priest of Titania: Classic mana dork package that synergize with each other. Circle of Dreams Druid, Elvish Archdruid, and Priest of Titania is capable of large amounts of mana and the preferred targets of untapping effects. Jaheira, Friend of the Forest turns creature tokens into Elvish Mystics and every other token into Mox Emeralds.
  • Other Ramp: Birds of Paradise and Growing Rites of Itlimoc  : Growing Rites of Itlimoc   is Gaea's Cradle at home, providing per creature on the battlefield under my control.
  • Elspeth, Sun's Champion: Elspeth is one of the best token based finishers. Her +1 creates three 1/1 soldier tokens, which will probably be cats i=with Jinnie on the field. Her -3 is a board wipe that destroys all creatures with 4 or more power. Finally, Elspeths -7 is a teamwide buff, providing +2/+2 and flying to all of your creatures. All of Elspeths abilities are great for this decks gameplan.
  • Huatli, Radiant Champion: Huantli is probably the best walker in this deck. Huantli is a card that demands attention. Her +1 increases her loyalty per the amount of creatures controlled. Thus, she will jump to the ideal 9 with six creatures on the battlefield. This sets up the next turn for her to -8, creating an emblem that draws a card when a creature enters the battlefield under your control. This will leave Huantli at 9. If left unchecked, Hunatli will continue to produce this emblem that will draw tons of cards. Between all mass token production and these emblems, your opponents will need to deal with Huatli.
  • Minsc & Boo, Timeless Heroes: I think this card is very good. When played and at the beginning of your upkeep, Minsc creates Boo, a legendary 1/1 hamster with trample and haste. Minscs +1 puts three +1/+1 counters on one creature with trample or haste. You know what else has haste besides Boo? Cat tokens! With Jinnie, Mincs creates a 2/2 cat token, replacing Boo. Then with the +1, Mincs makes a 5/5 cat with haste on each of your turns. Mincs -2 can fling any creature, mainly Boo, to deal damage to any target equal to its power. As well, you draw X cards equal to the creatures power if it is a hamster. For the most part, the fling target will be Boo, unless Maskwood Nexus is on the field.
  • Nissa, Voice of Zendikar: I like Nissa because she is a cheap token producer for . Her +1 creates a 0/1 green plant token, which by itself isnt very good. However, Nissa improves significantly with Jinnie on the battlefield. -2 pumps the team via placing a +1/+1 counter on each creature controlled. -7 draws X cards and gains X life. Where X is the number of lands controlled. Really, Nissa is here as another non-creature token producer.
  • Vivien on the Hunt: Viviens +2 is Birthing Pod. Her +1 mills five cards then puts all creature cards into your hand. With 30 plus creatures in the deck, Viviens +1 should draw one or more creatures per activation. Her -1 creates a 4/4 rhino warrior token, adding a big token that doesnt want to be replaced by Jnnies effect. Because of the cost of her abilities, Vivien can continuously create and tutor creates if left unchecked.
  • Xenagos, the Reveler: Lets be real here; Xenagos has a spot solely because of his +1. This is another Gaea's Cradle-effect, producing and in any combination equal to the amount of creatures on the battlefield. For as much as Ive played this card, I think Ive used the 0 a handful of times and never ultimate Xenagos. Xenagos -1 isnt bad. I prefer the overwhelming mana produced from Xenagos +1.
  • Note: You dont always want to change your treasure tokens into dogs. The value of treasure tokens are stretched in this deck due to different creature abilities.

  • Academy Manufactor: Academy Manufactor creates a Treasure, a Clue, and a Food for every instance of Treasure production. With Jinnie Fae, Manufactor creates either 3 dogs or 3 cats. This combination makes a strong card even stronger.
  • Ancient Copper Dragon: When ACD deals combat damage, you roll a d20 and creature treasure tokens equal to the results. On average ACD should create 11 treasure tokens. Im not even considering token doublers at this point because it isnt necessary. ACD is strong all by itself. ACD forces blocks. Ideally, it is a win if ACD rolls at least a five because that is the minimum for Magdas activation.
  • Black Market Tycoon: BMT is an aggressive treasure producer. BMT taps to make a treasure token but pings you for two damage for each treasure you have at the beginning of your upkeep. This can be played around with Jinne fae on the battlefield, transforming those treasures into dogs. This damage can also be offset if Prosperous Innkeeper is on the field and a steady flow of tokens are coming through.
  • Bootleggers' Stash: Bootleggers Stash turns each land into a treasure producer. Thus, you can turn untapped lands into mana for later.or dogs. Either of these options are strong, especially at instant speed.
  • Dockside Extortionist: We all know what this card does. Dockside creates a treasure token for each artifact and enchantment controlled by the opponents. Depending on the boardstate, Dockside produces plenty of treasure tokens for ramp, a wave of cat tokens for a hasty attack, or dogs for the defense.
  • Gala Greeters: - Elf - Gala Greeters has up to three triggers per turn. In my opinion, the optimal order is tapped treasure token, +1/+1 counter, then gain two life. This is especially true with Jinnie on the field. If need be, Jinnie can change a tapped treasure token into a dog which triggers Greeters for the second time. It is feasible that if you have a single token enter on each opponent's turn, Gala Greeters will grow by three +1/+1 counters and produce 3 dogs.
  • Ganax, Astral Hunter: Ganax makes itself and all other dragons into Wily Goblin. This trigger is only restricted to dragons, so tokens from Dragon Broodermother will trigger this every turn. As well, there are a handful of dragons that are core to the game plan, such as Goldspan Dragon and Terror of the Peaks. All of this is nice, but Ganax is here for a different reason; combos! Ganax is a part of a three piece combo with Jinne and Maskwood Nexus, which creates infinite cat/dragon tokens with haste. The thing I like best about this combo is that it is easy to tutor with Magda with enough treasure tokens.
  • Goldspan Dragon: Besides Dockside Extortionist, Goldspan is the poster child for treasure decks. Goldspan creates treasures and, more importantly, doubles the mana produced by treasures. If youve been play any kind of Magic, you know the powerhouse that is Goldspan Dragon.
  • Old Gnawbone: Old Gnawbone is the over the top treasure producer in the deck. When a creature deals combat damage, Old Gnawbone creates a treasure equal to the amount of damage done. This is for each creature that dealt damage. That means that dog tokens will create three treasures or three more dogs with Jinnie. Old Gnawbone is the first tutor target for Magda, particularly before damage.
  • Professional Face-Breaker: Oh, Face-Breaker. This is a mana ramp and card advantage engine all in one. When one or more creatures deal combat damage to a player, PFB creates a treasure token. Thus, you can make three treasure tokens per combat phase. If one of your creatures has first strike or double strike, you can create another treasure token because it is a different combat damage phase. As well, PFB can sacrifice a treasure token to Impulse, exiling the top card of the deck which can be played this turn. Because it states play, PFB can play lands off of this draw. This provides a draw effect for treasure tokens that isnt being used for mana or replaced by Jinnies effect.
  • Prosperous Innkeeper: Innkeeper produces a treasure and provides life gain as creatures enter the battlefield under my control. Innkeeper is good for ramping from two mana to four on turn three.
  • Stimulus Package: Someone said that this card was basically Skyshroud Claim and that has stuck with me. Like Skyshroud Claim, you pay and get back . However, I assert that Stimulus Package is better. Package is application the further the game goes on with the ability to shift treasure tokens into citizen tokens. As for this deck, this encourages the tactic of holding treasure tokens rather than instead making the choice between dogs or mana when Jinnie is on the field. Just busted.
  • Ancient Gold Dragon: Like Ancient Copper Dragon, AGD has the potential to make plenty of 1/1 blue dragon tokens with flying. Though ACD has treasure synergizes, I like the raw token production that ACG provides without the need of Jinnie Fae. With an average role, AGD can add 11 power worth of tokens to the field. ACD becomes even more of a must block with Purphoros, God of the Forge or Impact Tremors on the battlefield.
  • Adeline, Resplendent Cathar: I enjoy the aggressiveness of this card. First, Adeline pumps her power per token present, which will make her huge most of the time. She has vigilance and */4 so she is good at playing offense and defense. However, the reason why she is here is because of her token generation. When one of our creatures attacks, create one token per opponent tapped and attacking. Because of these, Adeline provides constant pressure to the table. With Jinnie out, it is best to modify those 1/1 tokens into dogs. Just remember that Adeline doesnt have to attack to make the tokens, making her playable before combat.
  • Delina, Wild Mage: First, Delina is a elf, which synergizes with the deck. Second, this is a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker-effect that this deck needs. At worst, Delina creates one copy of a creature that will trigger ETB and other effects in the deck. This deck doesnt mind a low roll because of all the token doubling effects available. Now, Delina pops off if she rolls higher than 15, repeating the process over again.
  • Doubling Season and Parallel Lives: You know exactly why these two cards are here. Parallel Lives is here over Anointed Procession because the deck is heavy on . Instead of running both, I rather protect one of them.
  • Dragon Broodmother: During each upkeep, Dragon Broodmother creates a 1/1 dragon with flying and devour 2, putting +1/+1 counters equal to twice the amount of creatures sacrificed. Because of the upkeep trigger, Broomother triggers most of the alliance creatures, such as Gala Greeters. Even without token doublers, Broodmother is a card that gets out of hand if it isnt dealt with.
  • Elvish Warmaster: - Elf - This was one of the cards that immediately made me want to make Jinnie Fae Elfball. Elvish Warmaster creates a 1/1 elf warrior token once per turn when an elf enters the battlefield under my control. Between Imperious Perfect and Rhys the Redeemed, Warmaster can be triggered on my opponents turns, making the once per turn limit not as restricting. Warmasters ability is good for pumping and forcing through damage via bad blocks and deathtouch.
  • Farmer Cotton: I dont know what yall want me to say here. Farmer Cotton cranks out tokens and just dumb with Jinnie Fae. For example, a Farmer Cotton played for will make either eight power worth of cats with haste or twelve power worth of dogs. This is without any other support cards. The more mana, the scarier Farmer Cotton becomes. Farmer Cotton and Temur Sabertooth are best of friends, clearly.
  • Hero of Bladehold: This is one of my favorite cards since I started playing. When Hero attacks, she creates two 1/1 tokens tapped and attacking. Second, Hero has a battle cry trigger, granting a +1/0 to all attacking creatures you control. Like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, these tokens are best when they are shifted to dog tokens, making them 4/2 with vigilance.
  • Imperious Perfect: - Elf- Imperious Perfect is an elf lord, provide a bonus +1/+1 to elves, and provides an elf token for .
  • Peregrin Took: Why lookie here? Wizards gave me another replacement effect! Peregrin Took creates an additional Food token when one or more tokens are created. As well, Peregrin provides a food payoff in card draw for three food tokens. However, 90% of the time, those food tokens will be cats or dogs. Anything that makes more tokens is a slam dunk for this deck.
  • Queen Allenal of Ruadach: Elf - Queen Allenals power and toughness is equal to the number of creatures you control on the battlefield. In addition to being a big beater, Queen Allenal creates a 1/1 white soldier token when you create one or more creature tokens. If both Jinne and Queen Allenal are on the battlefield at the same time, Queen will produce an extra dog or cat instead of a soldier.. Queen Allenal is a great three drop that steadily increase the board.
  • Rabble Rousing: Yes, Rabble Rousing has hideaway five, which digs five cards and exiles one to be cast for free later. Thats good, but that isn't why I like this card. Rabble Rousing is good because it doubles your board state. If you attack with two creatures, you make two creatures and then have four creatures. That four then goes to eight, then sixteen, and so forth. Another great aspect of this card is that it is great for being aggressive. Even if you make not so great attacks with your tokens, you get them back with Rabble Rousing, especially if you have Jinnie on the field.
  • Rhys the Redeemed: - Elf - Rhy is a stable card in any token deck. The first tap ability for symbol:g/w is slightly overcost, but provides instant speed token generation. Rhys second ability is where the fun begins. For symbol:g/w, Rhy makes a token copy of each creature token you control. Thats just dumb. This just doubles your board. Obviously, this gets better with Jinnie on the battlefield. Heres my general rule of thumb. If it is your turn and trying to get into the red zone, always create cat tokens. If it is not your turn, make dogs. If you have Halo Fountain and Jaheira, Friend of the Forest, make cats, untap Rhy, and reuse the trigger.
  • Samwise Gamgee: Ok, LoTR provides another token generator. Samwise Gamgee, for , makes a Food token when another nontoken creature enters the battlefield under your control. Sam can also sacrifice three Food tokens to return a historic card to your hand. This is an option, but most of the time those tokens will be dogs or cats. Sam, essentially, doubles up the creature count, making overrun the table much easier.
  • Bennie Bracks, Zoologist: - Elf - In all reality, Bennie should only cost due to convoke. As well, this deck takes full advantage of Bebbies draw trigger with the ability to make instant speed tokens.
  • Leaf-Crowned Visionary: Leaf-Crowned Visionary can draw a card for when an elf spell is played. So for one extra mana, all elves become Elvish Visionary. This is great because Elvish Mystic, which loses value as the game goes on, will now cantrip. Yes, LCV also anthems elves.
  • Ohran Frostfang: Ohran Frostfang has two great abilities that work well, especially in token decks. First, attacking creatures have deathtouch. Now, all of those 3/1 with vigilance dogs or 2/2 with haste cats will attack more profitably, because most people will not block a token with these abilities if they dont absolutely have to. If they do block, our tokens then play the role of removal piece. Second, you draw a card for each creature that deals combat damage. Once again, most people are not sacrificing a creature, unless it is a token itself, to a deathtouch token. Because of that, Ohran is a strong piece of card draw with creatures on the board.
  • Sylvan Library: Draw more cards in exchange for some life. This is just another staple.
  • Tribute to the World Tree: Ive said this before and I will say it again; the only downside is the cost of . However, that cost isnt an issue because this deck is base . If a creature with less than 3 power enters the battlefield, put two +1/+1 counters on it. If it enters with three or more power, draw a card.
  • Elegant Entourage: - Elf - Elegant Entourage pumps a creature with +1/+1 and trample every time a creature enters the battlefield. With all the triggers, Entourage can make any creature into a viable attacker.

    Spoiler Alert Show

  • Eternal Witness: Regrowth on a stick and a classic green card.
  • Grand Crescendo: This is Secure the Waste with indestructible attached.
  • Halo Fountain: Halo Fountain can make a 1/1 symbol:w/g citizen token, draw a card, or even win the game on the spot! All of these things are good, especially the first two modes. Halo Fountain has a spot because it untaps creatures. For or , Halo Fountain untaps one of the many mana dorks in this deck.
  • Maskwood Nexus: Maskwood Nexus is here because of the tribal combos within the deck. With Nexus and Magda, Brazen Outlaw, all of my creatures tap for a treasure token and I can tutor any creature with five treasure tokens. Maskwood also cause all my creatures to trigger Elvish Warmaster, and Ganax, Astral Hunter, get the +1/+1 bonuses from Elvish Archdruid and Imperious Perfect, and causes Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid.
  • Protection: Deflecting Swat and Heroic Intervention
  • Removal: Beast Within, Force of Vigor, Nature's Claim, and Swords to Plowshares.
  • Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer: - Elf - Naya Chord of Calling on a stick. With the large amount of mana produced in this deck, Rocco can grab any off the creatures in this deck with ease.
  • Rhythm of the Wild: This makes creature spells uncounterable, which is good. Most of this deck is creatures and I dont feel like being bullied by . As well, Rhythm provides riot for nontoken creatures. For the most part, I use the haste option.
  • Tutors: Eladamri's Call, Enlightened Tutor, and Finale of Devastation
  • Temur Sabertooth: This is the combo engine of the deck for that can easily go infinite with a mana dork and a haste outlet.
  • Purphoros, God of the Forge: After Terror of the Peaks, this is the second best source of burn in the deck. Purphoros deals two damage to each opponent every time a creature enters under my control. This gets out of hand quickly. Adeline, Resplendent Cathar will burn the table for six every combat phase.
  • Rose Room Treasurer: Rose Room Treasurer is similar to Gala Greeters with its stackable triggers. By itself, the Treasurer's first two triggers create a treasure token. Its last trigger allows for a burn to any target equal to whatever amount of mana you deem has X. Please note that there isnt a limit to the burn trigger. However, the Treasurer becomes a powerful pinger with Jinnie on the field. Why is that? Its the same as Gala Greeters. After a creature enters the battlefield, the first trigger makes a dog. This dog triggers the Treasurer again, which creates a treasure token that becomes a dog again. This last dog triggers the pinging ability. Depending on the available mana, Treasurer can remove creatures, planeswalkers, or just burn face. Yes, the Treasurer can just make treasures then shift into burn depending on the board state. However, this combination of Jinnie and Treasurer is strong for developing a board and creating opportunities to burn any target off of a single creature.
  • Terror of the Peaks: Terror of the Peaks is one of those cards that gets kill on sight for good reason. When a creature enters the battlefield under your control, TotP deals damage to any target. So, every dog token becomes a Lightning Bolt. With all the token production, TotP can easily wipe out the board or bolt the opponents over and over again. Dumb.
  • 7.4.2023 - The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth - So Much Food Edition

Delina is in the deck over Jaxis simply because she is an elf. Truth be told; I was not excited for this set at all. I barely know any of the lore and I figure that there would be nothing of value released. I guess I was wrong because there is a strong Food token theme pushed in the LotR set. Tribute to the World Tree is just better than Elemental Bond because I can make 4/4 cats with haste or just draw cards off of dogs. Though it is a great card, Impact Tremors was the weakest of my burn option. Llanowar Elves is just another ramp piece on . Force of Vigor over Nature's Claim because it can be free and hits two instead of one.

    10.21.22

I only have one copy of Cloudstone Curio and Temur Sabertooth does the same thing. King Darien XLVIII is an anthem and token producer. Yes, Tireless Provisioner does make treasure tokens, but this deck doesnt depend as much on land drops. As well, King Darien is a mana sink, which is great for big mana decks.

    9.9.2022: Dominaria United Update

Bloom Tender takes a spot over Llanowar Elves for color fixing. Leaf-Crowned Visionary is great at converting extra mana, which has plenty of, into card draw. This deck has way too many elves to not play this card.Poor Jolene, the Plunder Queen gets replaced by Queen Allenal of Ruadach immediately as Queen is a better beater, makes a token just for me, and is an elf. Ancient Gold Dragon makes too many tokens not to play. Jaxis, Trouble Maker is in because I wanted a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker effect with the deck. Cryptolith Rite isnt as necessary as a large number of the creatures already tap for mana and I prefer Jaheira, Friend of the Forest. Moon-Blessed Cleric was the most cuttable elf. Gilded Goose fits the theme, but I cant pass up on the card draw from Leaf-Crowned.

    8.2.2022

Even though the new set will be previewed in two weeks, I still wanted to make some changes. Gilded Goose is in over Canopy Tactician for a few reasons. Goose comes down earlier and produces tokens. Jolene, the Plunder Queen is back because I want as many treasure doublers as possible. Cabaretti Charm, unfortunately is the weakest card in the deck.

    7.21.2022

Once again, I thank slayingmatt1234 for pointing out the combo with Prosperous Partnership. However, I think I found a combo that works better for me with Ganax, Astral Hunter. Jinne, Ganax, and Maskwood Nexus goes infinite and is easy to tutor with Madga. Outside the combo, I think Ganax offers much more than Prosperous Partnership.

    7.12.2022

Canopy Tactician is here for another elf lord and more ramp. Vivien on the Hunt is another versatile planeswalker that makes tokens. Temur Sabertooth was a backup Cloudstone Curio and isnt needed most of the time. Smuggler's Share fluxicates in its viability, depending on the power level of the play group.

    6.21.22

I wanted more token producers. Because this deck leans heavily on, I replaced Castle Ardenvale with Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire. I rather have instant speed tokens rather than a one time removal piece. Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and Minsc & Boo, Timeless Heroes are in as the additional token generators I was looking for. Huatli, Radiant Champion replaced Rumor Gatherer as an additional draw engine.

    6.6.2022

Elemental Bond synergizes with the dogs tokens very well. I didnt want to cut Rumor Gatherer for it though. However through testing, it became apparent that the proper cut was Beast Whisperer. Though Whisperer is a strong card, Elemental Bond draws more cards and isn't limited. With no source of flash, Beast Whisperer only draws cards on my turn. Ive come to the conclusion that I need to run Maskwood Nexus if I'm leaning so heavily on Magda, Brazen Outlaw. This deck doesnt need Swiftfoot Boots. Growing Rites of Itlimoc   is just a better MDFC over Bala Ged Recovery  . Eternal Witness and Finale of Devastation cover my graveyard recovery needs. Rabble Rousing is just a better and more impactful drop than Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury. Per slayingmatt1234 suggestion and pointing out a combo, Prosperous Partnership replaces Evolutionary Leap. As soon as I saw Ancient Copper Dragon, I knew it was immediately going into the deck. Jolene, the Plunder Queen is good, but Copper Dragon is just silly. Jaheira, Friend of the Forest acts as another Cryptolith Rite. Wirewood Symbiote isnt needed.

    Feedback

Thank you for visiting. Any suggestions and +1s are greatly appreciated! I read every comment and try to reply back to everyone. This deck is constantly evolving and its great to have other people submitting their input.
