Modern BRGW Jegantha, the Wellspring Persist Sacrifice

An attempt to go infinite - and win the game - with two sets of 3-card-combos, preferably by around turn 4. Utilizing two specialized tutors, that three-piece-combo should be assembled reliably. This is the altered or "better" version of It used to be Solemnity Persist.

The idea is to exploit the persist-effect of Putrid Goblin or Safehold Elite or the sideboard Lesser Masticore. To suppress the -1/-1-counters - that the persist effect would place on creatures - I am using Melira, Sylvok Outcast and Thran Vigil. Melira even adds a little precaution against infect/toxic decks. Altar of Dementia and Goblin Bombardment both offer an activated ability, that allows to sacrifice a creature for a potential game-winning effect, namely mill and direct damage.

Adding Karn, the Great Creator allows for fetching either Lesser Masticore or Altar of Dementia for the combo or any necessary tool from the variety of sideboard artifacts, such as Grafdigger's Cage or Tormod's Crypt. Similarly, Summoner's Pact can tutor up either Safehold Elite or Melira, Sylvok Outcast. Unfortunately both "tutors" can only tutor up two of the three combo pieces, but are ultimately only our backup plan.

There are a couple of defensive spells, such as the new Surge of Salvation, which can protect all permanents and ourself. There is also Prismatic Ending and the 5c-staple Leyline Binding to deal with any annoying permanent. I am considering to run three copies of Leyline of Sanctity in the main deck as the current meta has nasty discard effects, namely Scam.

The selection of lands tries to supply utility and diversify the game plan. I could have opted for a clean 3-colour-manabase with fetches and shocks, but I opted for a potential 5-colour landbase, to exploit the converge mechanic of Prismatic Ending or the domain condition of Leyline Binding. The manabase is currently susceptible to BloodMoon and/or Magus of the Moon, however it is possible to assemble the combo with red sources only. Maybe I should add one or even two copies Boseiju, Who Endures.

The Sideboard is a work in progress. It features single copies of artifact staples, fetchable with Karn. There is also Leyline of Sanctity and March of Otherworldly Light, trying to further protect the combo against discard-control or pesky permanents such as Pithing Needle or Relic of Progenitus.

Lastly, Jegantha, the Wellspring is a freebe in this constellation and might even carry single prolonged games. Just be aware, that he can not be declared companion for rounds, where Leyline of Sanctity is sideboarded in. One reason to not use it in the main deck.

Anyway, feel free to try the deck in Playtest-Mode or even in a paper-game and let me know how you performed! Feedback and suggestion is much appreciated.
