Howdy! Unfortunately, your commander's color identity is colorless. The color identity of a lot of your eldrazi cards, like Dust Stalker unfortunately have the color identity of the cards included in their mana costs, despite having the devoid property.

HOWEVER! Don't let that stop you from building a deck or playing a deck how you'd like, despite it being not considered "legal" commander deck. I still think it's in the spirit of commander!

Hmmm, I do think that the amount of colorless creatures (that are eldrazi compared) compared to "colored" eldrazi is not enough. Notice that Morophon, the Boundless , reduces the cost by WUBRG and any colorless eldrazi will not cost less. But the deck functions, and works AMAZING WITH Jodah, Archmage Eternal , and Fist of Suns . I would recommend some more tutors to get out combo pieces along with some nice card draw. The deck is rounded out but... it could do with some tweeks. Conduit of Ruin may be a colorless eldrazi but can make things cost less that are colored, Ugin, the Ineffable , Forerunner of Slaughter , and Flayer Drone , both do wonders... Forsaken Monument even buffs your "colored" eldrazi because of the devoid mechanic. Ulamog's Nullifier and Brood Butcher both can do wonders, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Dust Stalker , are great... Eladamri's Call , Vampiric Tutor , and Enlightened Tutor all work great, Bring to Light is also great as well.

Edgardxcore Hey! Cool deck!

This is also a plan of mine to get going, once I have assembled my Abzan deck.

As king-saproling stated, Pitiless Plunderer would be a wonderful fit in here. Id consider cutting some of the following though:

Fist of Suns

Jodah, Archmage Eternal

Chromatic Lantern

Reason being; with Morophon's ability to reduce the colored pips in casting cost of your Eldrazi creatures, you will most likely want him on board as often as possible, as such, color fixing and alternate casting costs are not as vital to your strategy. Mycosynth Lattice is much higher in terms of cmc, but will also you to use your colorless mana in any way that you see fit!

You already have Lightning Greaves, so perhaps look into adding Swiftfoot Boots and Whispersilk Cloak as well, to offer more sources of protection. Neurok Stealthsuit is another good option, and gives you an instant speed equip option, should you need to move it around.

Another option to consider cutting would be Trophy Mage. As it is, you have 4 artifacts that it can fetch up out of your 13. Countering a creature is easy and will prevent your tutor for one of those pieces. A good option to substitute in would be Perplex. It offers you a tutor for a 3 drop, but is harder to prevent, as it is an activated ability, rather than an etb and can also be used as a counter should you need it.

I would also recommend substituting Dust Stalker and Nest Invader for some additional Devoid creatures that can bring in tokens upon entry to further your colorless ramp.

I run a mostly colorless deck, and find that Mystic Forge is a key piece in the deck. Some other good options for counters and removal are:

Void Shatter

Spell Shrivel

Complete Disregard

Serpentine Spike

Oblivion Strike

Smothering Abomination

That last one is just a personal favorite of mine, as its a great source of card draw when you sack your tokens for mana :) I hope some of this helps.

Mana Echoes can also be a great source of colorless ramp if you are willing to shell out the caps for said card.

Hey, you asked for my help.

I'm not a fan of Eldrazi or five color therefore my advice will be in one area you could improve your deck. Consider more repeatable draw sources? Sources of draw that you don't have to pay any mana to draw cards. Creatures are a big part of your deck therefore consider enchantments that draw when a creature you control ETB?

Ascendancy can also give big Eldrazi as well as Morophon haste which makes them more of threats especially with annihilator. Skullclamp is good with 0/1 Eldrazi tokens since equipping one kills it or sac the spawn for mana drawing two cards. These are less expensive price repeatable draw sources, but there's more powerful sources if you're willing to spend more.

Willing to spend even more:

Good luck with your deck.

Yesterday on Can Hex Parasite go in …

Please link the cards when you post a question in future, it makes it somewhat easier to deal with.

Hex Parasite & Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle

No, I'm afraid not. In EDH, all the cards in your deck must conform to the 'colour identity' of your Commander. Hex Parasite as a card doesn't have a colour, and as a permanent doesn't have a colour. But this is different from the colour identity of the card.

The colour identity is derived from the colour of the card + the colour of any mana symbols in its mana cost and rules text, except for reminder text.

  • Hex parasite has in its rules text, so it has a black colour identity.
  • Dust Stalker has in its mana cost, so it has a black & red colour identity.
  • Pontiff of Blight has only in its reminder text, so its colour identity doesn't include white.
  • Sphinx of the Guildpact as a card is all colours, so it has a WUBRG colour identity.

My only concern with Flayer Drone is its susceptibility to extremely cheap and efficient removal paired with the fact that it is a 3-drop. I have been considering it, I just don't know where it would slot in... That being said, Dust Stalker has the same issue with removal (but it's one of my favorites). I know the whole "dies to Doom Blade" argument is pretty meh, but I feel it is quite relevant in this instance. I wish the drone was a little bit beefier. The drain effect and first strike are quite good though.

I'll have to mull it over a bit.

Cool deck. Have you tried Dust Stalker? I run a version of this in standard. Emrakul, the Promised End is good as a one of. You have enough artifacts to give you a few card types in the graveyard. Plus Eldrazi Temple helps out.

Sargeras on The Eldritch Truth (Bloodborne Eldrazi Theme Deck)

Interesting deck, so +1, I have a few suggestions,

  1. Make sure that the hubs for this deck state both casual and gimmick, that way you don't have to say that you are playing casual, the hubs say it for you! (Just a little thing though)

  2. I get that this deck is RB which means it wants to be aggressive, but you have some shifting themes here, on one hand, you have aggressive beaters that can swing for a ton of damage, and then there Ulamog and Bane of Bala Ged which you will likely never cast in a single game (Good luck casting 7 & 10 drops with 22 lands) My first suggestion would be to cut Ulamog and Bane (I know they are fun but you likely won't cast them) and replace them with 2 more Dust Stalker and 1 more Endless One.

  3. Replace Processor Assault with Flame Slash, slash came from rise of the Eldrazi and does basically the same thing with way less cost.

  4. Behind the Scenes: Skulk would allow creatures like Sludge Crawler to get in for damage and allow you to Ingest cards without having to worry about blockers (they slither around). This would probably come in over Forerunner of Slaughter since the card just doesn't do too much imo.

  5. I'm not a particular fan of tap-lands, Sulfurous Springs would be ideal since you can play cards and effects for both anyway.

Cheers!
