When there’s free tapping I also go back to look at the “inspired” mechanic, to see if there’s anything there. While not great, this is probably the closest it’s gotten to being worth considering ;p Could be some useful tokens. Satyr Nyx-Smith makes hasties.

Looking at the commander, and the mechanics: Lands aren’t token creatures, right? How hilarious would a Living Lands-type effect be? Probably not worth trying to build around... but...

It’s bad when you keep finding things to make your deck better, cool synergies etc, but then accidentally replace the main pieces of your deck to the point where your deck doesn’t work anymore... so those cool things /can’t/ work.

That’s a tough call, though. There should probably be a name for this, but you’re going to run the risk of replacing parts in/on the car with cool add-ons to the point where ceases being a car and can’t run any longer lol

It’s an odd effect, but Last Thoughts might be a cypher answer to card draw. Cypher doesn’t get a lot of play, but if getting attacks through isn’t a problem, and you can protect the creature it’s on, maybe it’s worth considering.

Maybe Yahenni? It’s a strong card, but you have a lot of ways to put a counter on creatures, and the value of having lots of counters on just him seems less-ideal? The deck seems to care more about the binary state of “has at least one counter” vs “doesn’t have at least one counter” rather than making huge creatures. Just spitballing....

It’s worth just taking them for what they are. A good ride, first time through, even if you don’t end up watching them over and over later ;p

I’ll second what you said about Hugo; super amazing. I still can’t contain myself during the line “it’s the smell.” That hits so many points for me, it’s just the best. He was also a great Red Skull, though I feel bad about his under-utilization in that movie-universe. Such a great severity (not necessarily villainous).

Also a great example of a movie that syncs the soundtrack up with action events, similar to a music video (specifically with that great Propellerheads track). Great use of color. Great job of giving you a feeling through setting. I’m a big fan!

Niko9 - Terror was my first removal and probably still my favorite. The original art was AMAZING and has the added flavor of “can’t terror-someone-to-death if they’re a robot or zombie/demon/etc”. Super great. Yay removal!

Possibly replace Juniper Order Ranger instead..? I know that gets the proliferate-ball rolling on creatures... but a lot of them already come in with at least one counter...

Profet93 those are great! In my witchy-bad-deals coven deck I have Cruel Entertainment which takes your enjoyment even a step further, where you’re not even responsible for the choices made! Great additions to the list!! Thank you!!

Those are great, griffstick! So many of these have great effects that react to your opponents successfully doing stuff, allowing them to actually play, which is fun. I love it!

#1I’m not a professional on the topic, but IQ looks to me to have come from the same hyper-science era that also produced the idea of measuring your skull to see if you’re a criminal, or a universal height-based index on weight. It was a very important time for science, but not everything from that era is necessarily a winner.
