Welcome to Prismari, Collage of the Elemental Arts at Strixhaven, where we believe in the Dominarian Planeswalker Jaya Ballard's teaching that "You should fight everything with fire" and "Yes, I think ‘toast' is an appropriate description."

This is a Prismari Aggro-Burn deck built around Pyromancer Ascension. I am still perfecting it and so would welcome suggestions, but the basic idea is to lay on the Instants/Sorceries until Pyromancer Ascension(s) activates - and then keeping laying them on. To again quote Jaya Ballard, "Some have said there is no subtlety to destruction. You know what? They're dead." The Instants/Sorceries combo off Magecraft while Dragon's Approach coupled with Twinferno & Rootha, Mercurial Artist take its fiery toll - hopefully summoning the school's Founder Galazeth Prismari himself - even as Behold the Multiverse and Multiple Choice puts cards (dare I say answers) in your hand while Chandra's Spitfire works in concert with basically everything alongside Pyromancer Ascension to turn up the heat still further; and when Ascension combos with Twinferno... "'More fire?' Jaya asked. 'More fire,' Jodah agreed." Much more, what with Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Environmental Sciences adding fuel to the blaze. Add the Kenrith siblings along with Jaya, Fiery Negotiator herself and you should adequately prove the truth in Chandra Nalaar's words that "Spontaneous combustion is a myth. If you burst into flame, someone wanted you to." A phrase further epitomized in Temporal Firestorm, a red Wrath card for all intents and purposes - as Jaya once said, "Eenie, meenie, minie, moe . . . oh, why not all of them?" - burning your foes to ash while allowing you to rise from them to win the day.
