A simple and fun black deck for edh.

Combos.

K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth + Sheoldred, the Apocalypse + Vilis, Broker of Blood and then add Nantuko Shade: This combo allows me to use K'rrik’s ability to pay 2 life to activate Nantuko Shade’s ability. Which causes Vilis’ ability to trigger and I draw two cards, which in turn causes Sheoldred’s ability to trigger and I gain 4 life. I also end up with a Nantuko Shade that can win the game in a single hit.

Chain of Smog + Professor Onyx : The goal is to cast Chain of Smog while Professor Onyx is in play and targeting myself. Which triggers the professor’s ability and I drain my opponent for 2 life. I then can copy Chain of Smog since I was the target and I can do the whole thing over again, even if I have no cards in hand. This leads to draining my opponent for as much life as I want.

Chain of Smog + Sedgemoor Witch : Similar to the last combo, I get to do the same thing. However, instead of draining life from my opponent I can create an endless number 1/1s that gain me life when they die.

Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond : All I need to do with this combo is gain any amount of life and my opponent will die on the spot.
