My first real foray into Pauper.

THE DECK:

I wanted to create a control deck similar to the Mono-Black and Golgari-Gardens lists that tend to do well - but with a tiny Jund twist.

This gives us Red Elemental Blast out of the sideboard for control; Troublemaker Ouphe and Ancient Grudge for Affinity; and Fangren Marauder comes in handy for a few match-ups too.

Unlike a traditional Gardens deck, this version doesn’t include Avenging Hunter nor Thorn of the Black Rose - instead using ill-gotten Inheritance to reliably whittle our opponents’ life totals down.

The deck overall leverages a combination of disruption, removal, card draw and life-gain / drain to control the board and grind out a win.
