Glacian/Armit- cEDH Primer

Commander / EDH UB (Dimir)

PrismMTG

Maybeboard

Glacian, Powerstone Engineer and Armix, Filigree Thrashser is an artifact based control deck, leveraging the dimir color combination for a good control shell ad using Armix for removal and Glacian for repeatable card advantage, allowing you to keep mana open as necessary.

So, artifacts. Artifacts are a large part of the deck and make up 2 of your 3 wincons, those being Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter and Etherium Sculptor + Sensei's Divining Top + The Reality Chip . They also are built around your commanders with Armix, Filigree Thrasher giving you creature removal and Glacian, Powerstone Engineer giving you card advantage/selection.

So, into the artifacts.

We have your normal cEDH auto includes for your mana rocks, but are also running more than usually, including Dimir Signet, Fellwar Stone, Thought Vessel and Sapphire Medallion. We want as many artifacts as we can and running these additional rocks gives us greater consistency to power out Glacian in the midgame.

We have a suite of stax pieces as well, as this is a control deck at heart even though it is able to turbo out wins in the right situation. Trinisphere, Sphere of Resistance and Conqueror's Flail also impede our opponent's ability to build out their boards and interact with our win attempts. Then we get into the more targeted stax effects, Grafdigger's Cage and Weathered Runestone do a wonderful job of shutting down Underworld Breach lines and Torpor Orb stifles all the important etb effects such as Dockside or Thoracle.

Expedition Map is a powerful non basic land tutor, allowing us to find Ancient Tomb, Mishra's Workshop, or any other land you may need. The One Ring and Wishclaw Talisman are classic cEDH pieces that we take great advantage of, leveraging both the card advantage and the artifact card type. Sensei's Divining Top is part of a 3 card combo and we are on CounterTop as well. And Aetherflux Reservoir is an outlet for either a Iso-Rev combo or a Top/Reality Chip/Sculptor loop.

Creatures- We are on some of the common dimir creatures, Thassa's Oracle, Dauthi Voidwalker Opposition Agent and Orcish Bowmasters, but we're also on some creatures that some lists probably won't be on. Talion, the Kindly Lord is a fantastic card advantage engine and Phyrexian Metamorph is both a clone and an artifact. Etherium Sculptor and The Reality Chip make up two parts of a 3 card combo along with Sensei's Diving Top and both pieces are solid enough to not be entirely dead cards without it. Spellskite is in the list for redirection and to protect our board and Walking Ballista is another infinite combo outlet that can also be used to shoot down X/1s similar to a Bowmasters.

We are only on 3 enchantments, the ever classic Mystic/Rhystic as well as Counterbalance, making the powerful CounterTop soft lock.
