Scornful Egotist would be a Human Wizard Creature with P/T of 1/1.

From Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist's Gatherer rulings:

7/13/2018 The Core Set 2019 set includes no way to turn these cards face up. If an effect from cards outside of this set does turn one face up, the effect causing it to be a 5/5 artifact creature ends. If such an effect tries to turn an instant or sorcery card face up, reveal that card and it stays face down. In that case, it remains a 5/5 artifact creature.

Say I control Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist, and that I activate the -7 ability, putting Scornful Egotist onto the battlefield facedown as a 5/5. Later I pay the morph cost, flipping Egotist.

What is Egotist's p/t, and is it still an artifact?

Yisan, no worries, the effect will work. There is a ruling for a similar effect on Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist .

Yedora's reminder text doesn't dictate the loss of abilities, but simply works to define what a Forest land is.

Awaiting official release notes or rulings from WotC, BlackoutX. I'm confident it will work, though.

It would be great if you could fina a way to put Phage out face-down. You could swing and kill someone when they don't block. You could do this by manifesting things or by using Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist. I think he works well with morph, as well as being a good way to draw cards.

Skirk Alarmist lets you un-morph cards you control. But what if instead you un-manifest a facedown card you control, say a Sol Ring ? Would it still be sacrificed? What if it was an instant or sorcery, say Giant Growth ? What if it was an instant or sorcery with no legal targets? An aura? Does it work the same way with other facedown permanents, like Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist ultimate or Illusionary Mask ?

Hey, man! I looked into your deck and I would probably go with a decklist that is a little more consistent. My primary deck is Azorius artifact-control, so this is up my alley.

Essentially, it looks like you are trying to hit infinite mana ASAP. I bumped up your Isochron Scepter 's to max, and dropped all your Sol Ring s in favor of Basalt Monolith s. While at face value the monoliths look lesser, they go infinite on their own with Isochron and Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth are a complicated, but instant two-card-combo.

Azorius is awesome at control, but can run a little slow compared to some other color combos. A little stax/pillow fort components like Propaganda and Ghostly Prison should keep people from swinging at you as often and you have mana for days.

I trimmed down your creature base so that you had a higher probability of going infinite and added two Palladium Myr s to help that process along. Render Silent and Supreme Verdict can save you from other control decks, and you shouldn't have consistency issues at all, so I pulled a few copies of Tinker .

Your win cons are Infinite Mana + Sands of Delirium , swinging with a Metalwork Colossus , or just hitting that 0 button on Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist and swinging for lethal. I know you are put against mill semi-frequently, so I tossed in a Leyline of Sanctity (which is being re-printed in M20!) and I pumped up your land-base to just below the standard for a 60 card deck (24 lands).

I like this deck. One of my favorite planeswalkers to go with, if I have any, is Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist . Many people don't like it but it can have its uses.
