Scourge of the Nobilis

Enchantment — Aura

Enchant creature

As long as enchanted creature is red, it gets +1/+1 and has "(R/W): This creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn."

As long as enchanted creature is white, it gets +1/+1 and has lifelink. (Whenever it deals damage, its controller gains that much life.)

I have just made some major changes to this deck; for the first time ever, I have changed the general of this deck, replacing Uril, the Miststalker with Marath, Will of the Wild, because, while Uril was certainly an excellent general, it did not match the theme of this deck, which contained a mere six auras, whereas Marath does, and, upon making that change, I have decided to further emphasize this deck's theme of +1/+1 counters, specifically, by replacing Armadillo Cloak, Bear Umbra, Runes of the Deus, Scourge of the Nobilis, Shield of the Oversoul, and Snake Umbra with All Will Be One, Cathars' Crusade, Warleader's Call, Fertilid, Kalonian Hydra, and Steelbane Hydra; I had contemplated putting Forgotten Ancient in this deck, but I was not able to find space for it, and I also wish to minimize overlap with or similarities between this deck and my Atraxa, Praetors' Voice EDH deck, and, while this deck does not have quite as great of an emphasis on generating creature tokens as does my Ghired, Conclave Exile EDH deck, I still believe that it has a sufficient focus to justify the inclusion of Warleader's Call, which also has great synergy with Tamanoa. I also replaced Titanic Ultimatum with Pathbreaker Ibex, because the creature can use its ability repeatedly. I had considered putting Cabaretti Ascendancy into this deck, but I feel that this deck does not contain quite a sufficient number of creature cards to justify the inclusion of that card.

Overall, these changes reduced the average converted mana cost of this deck from 40.6 to 4.05, which is only a minimal change, but doing so also reduced the number of colored mana symbols in this deck, which is also a very good thing.

What does everyone else say about this? Do you believe that I did well with overhauling this deck?

I have replaced Clout of the Dominus, Scourge of the Nobilis, and Steel of the Godhead with Blind Obedience, Comet Storm, and Triskaidekaphile, which reduced this deck's average converted mana cost from 3.71 to 3.69, since the latter cards better fit the theme of this deck; that is one less card that synergizes with Whirlwind of Thought and Wandering Mind, but it is always nice to have an additional win condition in a deck, especially one that provides fuel for itself.

I have replaced Scourge of the Nobilis with Denethor, Ruling Steward, as he is a better card for this deck.

scotchtapedsleeves, I actually replaced Glory of Warfare with the feast, since the former enchantment was simply not a good match for the deck's theme, but I would sooner remove Fists of the Demigod over Scourge of the Nobilis, since the scourge can be quite powerful, in certain situations.

Ahh sorry, I misunderstood the question. I thought you were trying to pick which deck to put the card in.

For Teneb, I would swap out Elixir of Immortality. I've always found it underpowered.

For Tariel, I'm not a huge fan of Scourge of the Nobilis. Have you thought about including Sneak Attack?

Your mana curve seems extremely high in both decks. What do you expect your turn 1,2,3,4 plays to be? Is your playground very battlecruiser-y?

A couple enchantments to buff up your boss maybe? Clout of the Dominus for defense or Scourge of the Nobilis for commander damage. Flying and Trample is pretty good if you can boost Power a bit.

Wave of Indifference if you decide to lean into creature damage as a win con.

Do a search for cards with "Strive"

You need a Mission Statement or something to narrow down what you want the deck to do. It's all over the place now. How do you plan on killing people?

Love this! It gets pretty scary pretty quickly! Have you thought about Scourge of the Nobilis for a little life gain and additional punching power?
