What about Mayael's Aria and Naya Charm

Agent_Fire, Mayael's Aria is pretty cool. I've actually never seen that card before. I definitely want to make room for it, but what should I cut? Naya Charm is also pretty cool as well I want to find a slot for that as well. Thanks for the awesome card suggestions. I'm almost finished constructing the deck, I just need to get my hands on a few more cards.

What about Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger for ramp, Lifecrafter's Bestiary for card draw,and Sword of the Animist for value along with Sun Titan, and lastly Rishkar's Expertise

Agent_Fire, thanks for even more suggestions. Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger is something i'm considering...but he doesn't quite fit the aesthetic i'm going for regarding this deck. It's casual, and flavorful in regards to everything looking more jungle/ixalan themed/inspired. I'll consider Lifecrafter's Bestiary, what i'll do with it or how i'll make it work, i'm not so sure on though. Sun Titan seems like it'd be quite useful, as I do have alot of cmc 3 or less permanents in the deck. My only hang up, albeit minor is the card's overall aesthetic. It doesn't look like it'd fit within the jungles of ixalan. Maybe the Prerelease version might fit. Not sure. But the deck already has Rishkar's Expertise, that card is just awesome.

Agent_Fire, So the deck is nearly assembled. But I'm trying to figure out what to keep in the deck between Triumph of the Hordes and Mayael's Aria. I'll experiment between the two when the deck is fully assembled, as they both serve primarily as an alternate wincon, and rely on the presence of creatures.

Triumph of the Hordes too much spot removal for the other

Well, you throw the Triumph of hordes out and it could potentially be an instant win so long as you can deal at least 10 damage. Depending on the total power of all your creatures, you may be able to kill more than one opponent especially if you have Grand Abolisher our mo one can cast anything to stop the spell. The enchantment is cute, but it requires some working up to. Do you want to win by casting a card, or do you want to wait until your next upkeep to win providing you meet all the requirements and no one removes it?

You can shoot people with your commander after triumph to deal infect damage

March 16, 2018 4:10 p.m.

Agent_Fire Unfortunately thats not an option as Zacama cant target players. He has to kill by combat damage. So giving him infest does help quite a bit. I run a competitive Zacama deck as well wish I could target players, but Zacama is still a beast with or without that ability.

March 16, 2018 4:23 p.m.

LVL_666 Hey man, I recently made an awesome discovery that you need to include. Get yourself a Sword of Kaldra and slap it on Zacama. It basically creates a Path to Exile on a stick without the free mana for opponents. Every time Zacama does his 3 damage ability, it will Exile the targeted creature. Very good against indestructible creatures!

Swapping Caltrops for Conqueror's Flail would help against counterspell decks. Caltrops seems kinda weak in here, unless there is something Im missing, your big dinosaurs should be able to scare off any attackers that Caltrops would be useful against.

looks like he is using thee Caltrops for the enrage triggers on Polyraptor, Ripjaw Raptor and Trapjaw Tyrant

Sorry for the radio silence all, thanks for commenting Polupus and nsolarz...by the way, don't you owe me some feedback? :)

As for Caltrops, it's for what nsolarz pointed out earlier- it's meant to be used with the Enrage ability belonging to Polyraptor, Ripjaw Raptor, and Trapjaw Tyrant. Initially, I wanted to make it a sub-theme within the deck, but I haven't found any other dinos with that ability worth including. What do you two think about Siegehorn Ceratops and Ranging Raptors? Think they're worth including? What would you cut to include them?

@lvl_666, given that there are only a couple of cards out of the 99 that use the enrage trigger, Caltrops seems like a tough include. If you were going more heavy on the enrage, I'd think it might be worthwhile, but with so few cards to make use of it here, there is probably a better card for the slot.

  • Agent_Fire, "Why Huatli, Warrior Poet?". Two reasons. 1. Flavor. 2. Because of her third ability - it can be used to help trigger the Enrage abilities of some of the dinos.
  • nsolarz, "Caltrops seems like a tough include.". I totally understand your point on that regard, but I have seen this card work some miracles. One example can be the time this deck faced a Locust God deck. That player had the hardest time getting any of his 1/1 tokens to do much of anything with Caltrops on the board. Even more fun was had when Kinjalli's Sunwing showed up to help slow the Locust God deck even more. This earned me friends shortly after I terrorized the board early on and earned the ire of the whole table. Still, I get your point. Caltrops is extremely niche. What would you put in in it's place? I do want something that could potentially get me Enrage triggers outside of ol' Huatli.

p.s. to both of you - sorry for taking so long to respond to your comments! Thanks for your questions and comments, i'll get better at responding.

I LOVE the layout page for this deck! The red eye, opening and closing from the category lists, with the tyrant of tyrants himself in the background is a really, really nice touch. I like the deck as well, but the layout especially really caught my eye.

April 30, 2018 2:27 a.m.

Okay, I'm saying it. I love the animation in the panels on this deck page! I've got a few questions regarding how to do it myself though. Number one, what attribute do I have to change in the css code? Or if you do it through your deck page what is the tappedout coding?

My second question is do you have one continued image throughout all the panels or did you have to individually crop the video/gif file?

Really hoping you see this soon! Thanks for the help!

May 29, 2018 10:35 p.m.

Really sorry for double posting, but I just inspect elemented the panel and I see that there's a css file linked, so new question! In the actual description code, how did you declare the panels to be custom? Did you just add the "class=custom" tag to it?

Also, I've honestly never seen anyone use multiple style sheets to change their deck page, I don't mean to sound rude but why do you do it? Do you find it easier to change things when they're in separate documents?

And another thing, great job with comments on your stylesheets! So much easier to read and understand when there are so many comments!

Triple post, sorry I feel bad. I found an old article with you and multimedia, here. This looks like the same code that you're using now in your css accordion file, is this the same way of linking the two that you use in your description as well?

Wow scotchtapedsleeves,

Thanks for all the compliments. Wow...where to begin?

  • "Number one, what attribute do I have to change in the css code? Or if you do it through your deck page what is the tappedout coding?"

    To answer your question, consider the following code:

#custom .panel-heading {
    position: relative;
    height: 80px;
    z-index: 1;
}

#custom .panel-heading:after {
    background: url(https://i.imgur.com/1ztUitt.gif);
    background-size: 100% 524px;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-color: black;
    content: "";
    padding: 0px;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
    bottom: 0;
    right: 0;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: -1;
}

Then, for the accordion on the page I use:

<center><h1>The Threefold Sun Incarnate</h1></center>

<!--Accordion Block-->
<div id="custom">
===accordion
===panel
...etc
===endpanel
===endaccordion
</div>

For my accordion. Hopefully that answers your questions as to how to create an accordion.

  • "I've honestly never seen anyone use multiple style sheets to change their deck page, I don't mean to sound rude but why do you do it?"

    To answer your question - it's just personal preference. I like to organize my deck pages in two separate css documents. Helps me think.

  • "And another thing, great job with comments on your stylesheets!"

    I always believe in good commenting for coding. No matter what the language. If you're unclear on anything, just ask and i'll be glad to help :)

  • " I found an old article with you and multimedia, here. This looks like the same code that you're using now in your css accordion file, is this the same way of linking the two that you use in your description as well?"

    This is how I link my files:

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://dl.blablablalink.css"/>
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://dl.blablablalink.css"/>

Is it an upgrade thing to be able to set the background page of a deck as a picture, or is there coding that you used to set Zacama, Primal Calamity as the background picture.
