Will-o'-the-Wisp's ability calls itself out by name. if Lazav, the Multifarious was a copy of it and has his own name as he does. Would he still get regenerate?

Yes it will still work. If an ability uses a card's name in its text and doesn't specifically say something like "a card named N" (see Mirror-Mad Phantasm for an example) then it means "this object" and it will keep that meaning if another object with a different name gets the ability. In your example that means Lazav, the Multifarious will have an ability that says ": Regenerate Lazav, the Multifarious."
