Is there any way (other than the feature queue) that we can make it so that if there is a deck we like, we can gift a free deckcycle to the creator.
Just one time a day, cannot be used for a deck you personally create. You could basically give one your remaining cycles to a deck you don't have credit to making?
I think this could be a great way to foster user connection and communication and help decks get even more attention and views with possibilities for new ideas and cards to be shared.
I do see your point about the potential abuse.
Maybe have them reset weekly as opposed to daily?
As for tying them to years on TO... I've been here for 11yrs. I wouldn't need that many. And I'm sure there are other Old Fogey's here who don't need that many either. Unless I have misunderstood your idea.
Yes, we can tie them to purchases but I would give a free one weekly at least (via the weekly reset option stated above). For extras, by all means making them a commodity to purchase can help maintain and support the site as a whole.

I just don't see how abuse could be prevented other than making them kinda hard to get by. So basically, other than spending $ either directly on those or getting 1 for free after you buy sth else (prevents abuse by default imho), free gift-cycles should be rare.
What I meant by relating them to the years was, you basically get one as a birthday gift each year. If you got them weekly, you could still make dozens of alt accounts and abuse the system. To make up for the elevated rarity, the gifted deckcycles could maybe add an extra effect while the deck is cycling through the front page like a gold border or so.
Maybe a comrpomise could be monthly.

Well, one could create a couple of alt-accounts and abuse the system by granting their main acc all the extra cycles.
Maybe tie them to the years one has been registered on TA (like the profile mana symbols) and only as a 1-shot. So for example a person who has been on this site for 4 years has 3 extra, one-time deckcycle tokens to be used on other ppl's decks. And then maybe every time one spends money on this site, they get 1x of those 1-shot tokens on top as extra value.
Either way that sounds like a good idea on paper, but is a big hassle to implement without someone abusing it... on the other hand, the yearly grant alongside with extra value from purchases on the site would kinda make them extra special.
What do others think?
