, Emberskull Thicket deals three damage to each player. Each player creates a 0/0 Ash Creature token with , Copy this token X times where X is the amount of life you have lost this turn.

Ash tokens get +1/+1 for each Ash token on the battlefield.

Adding hybrid mana doesn't work within the rules (it's used in costs only to show that either of two coats can be paid), and you get the same effect with "Add , , or ." Actually, even that's not needed if this land has the appropriate basic land types, since the mana ability is included in the basic land type.

Damage on a land tends to be very restrictively costed, so I'm concerned about repeatable 3 damage for 3 mana, even if everyone gets hit. Compare Stensia Bloodhall or Immersturm Skullcairn. Also, what defines or is defined by the cost?

I was trying to show that you get RG, BG, or RB for the tap. Not hybrid. Im not good at coding or formatting lol.

Same with the damage cost. RRGGBB, T. Get said effect.

X was supposed to be pay X where x is the amount of life you lost this turn then copy the token X times.

Does this make more sense?

For this formatting, you add the double brackets after each symbol.

[[rg]]

[[r]][[g]]

Also, the icon that looks like a teardrop above the comment box is a list of symbols.

"...token with ": Copy this token X times, where X is the amount of life you have lost this turn." I think this is the wording you're looking for.

I like it! Dealing damage to everyone is always something I like, and giving everyone (if they choose) swarms of things is fun too!!

I'm not sure how I feel about adding two versatile colors of mana for free, especially since it has the basic land types. That mana ability should probably have a cost of added on, to turn it into a color filtering effect. It's still going to be amazing at color smoothing.

The Ash token ability is definitely more reasonable at 6 mana. This is one I would put through some playtesting to see how much more it needs to be tweaked. It could maybe get away with to loosen the color requirement.

Is this card designed to be used in a specific deck or with a specific commander, or is this just a creation exercise for the fun of it?

I agree with the filter land idea and have changed it to reflect this.

While this card was mainly just for fun and trying to figure out how to create something new that hadn't been done, I do have a Jund deck with Yurlok of Scorch Thrash and he was kind of the inspiration with his old school mana burn abilities.

@legendofa changed ash cost to 3BRG. Didnt want it too mana intensive as you suggested.

@shadow63 even at legendary and mythic rarity? Does that equalize it? Or still too OP? This is he first card I've ever done from the bottom up so trying to figure out balances.

Right now it's better then original dual land. Basic land types give it the ability to tap for those colors of mana

That is a very nice land, but I feel that it is too powerful, so it needs to have a drawback of some form, such as entering the battlefield tapped, requiring payment of life, or both.
